We used Slattery Moving for a move between NY and Hilton Head. We did not move any furniture but had a number of boxes, large odds and end stuff ladder,bike, large baskets etc.). We packed the boxes and their team put all on semi truck which we shared with other clients. This business model kept the cost WAY down. The delivery here was seamless. The driver navigated narrow roads and hauled the boxes into the house without issue. We considered using a “Pod” but encountered bait and switch quotes & we could never get the same person on the phone.Slatterys is a local company with a stellar reputation for a reason. I am not a cool and collected customer and I let Slattery know right off the bat that I would be high maintenance. Okay, I'm not that extreme but I was making a big move and Slattery came highly recommended by someone I trust so I felt confident but with all the horror stories you read online about unscrupulous movers, I was already terrified that I would be taken advantage of and lose my belongings. All nightmare scenarios aside, Slattery was super professional from start to finish. Lauren and Jeanine were especially helpful in the lead-up to moving day but then came a large group of men to my home on the day and time appointed. I could not believe what a well greased machine the crew was. I slept soundly for two days before delivery to my new house and they showed up again at the time and on the day. The unpacking of the truck was where I could see the method to their madness as my belongings unfolded and revealed themselves through layers of unpacking of the truck. From start to finish, the guys were great and all my stuff that went on the truck came off the truck, none too worse for the journey. They take pride in their work, at the office and at my house so yeah, I give them five stars.

We recently moved from NJ to Florida and hired Slattery. On the day of the move, they arrived exactly on time and within 2 hours had the truck loaded. We requested a delivery date that would coincide with many other factors and they indicated they would do their best but with no promises. They ended up arriving at the exact day and time requested and unloaded quickly and efficiently. The workers on both ends were friendly and professional. I would absolutely recommend Slattery.

Moving is one of the major stressors out there but using Slattery made it less so. Juan, Javier, Bobby, Jhony, Xavier and Luka were all great. They came on time, worked straight through with a couple of quick refueling breaks and used the right amount of levity to make the move so easy. They were extremely careful and respectful of my items and I felt like I was in great hands. I researched at least 5 other companies and found Slattery to be the best fit for what we needed. We had to move half our house into storage and the other half into our temporary home. They made sure everything got to the correct destination!The initial virtual walk through with Lauren was seamless and she was extremely communicative throughout the entire process. You can tell they really strive to make sure all of your stuff is treated well to minimize any damage and even avoid getting any furniture dirty!
