We recently used Slattery Moving & Storage for a long distance move from NY to NC. Chris and Jeanine made the planning and prep extremely easy and smooth even with all our last minute changes. Moving day, Rob and crew were right on time, professional and fast. Down in NC, Rob called the day before to confirm arrival and again right on time, unloaded and had everything in place in 3hrs. I would highly recommend these folks if you are planning a move, they came recommended by friends who did a local move in Rockland County.

My wife and I used Slattery to move from an apartment to our forever home and I could not recommend them enough. The office staff was communicative, helpful, and ensured our quote was accurate.The moving crew was efficient, professional and clean. They quickly disassembled all our furniture but also took the time to make sure nothing was broken in transit. They also asked us where we wanted pieces of furniture and were very methodical and tidy.Overall this experience was night and day with another company we used when moving from Brooklyn to Nyack. I can’t recommend Slattery enough. Awesome work!

This is the 2nd time we used them. In 2020 we moved about 6 miles and everything went wonderfully. Specially in the middle of Covid. This time we’ve moved 1200 miles to Florida and things could not have went better. The staff is professional and courteous and worked really hard. I recommend them to everybody.

Slattery’s Moving has very professional staff. I was very concerned of the move due a severe rainstorm but they put my fears to rest the minute they arrived as they covered my floors and parked the truck ramp at my front door. Highly recommend them to everyone. Job well done.

Juan and his team did an amazing job moving furniture from my mother‘s home into her new apartment. It’s a very steep set of hills to get to her house and they navigated it carefully and were able to back into the driveway. During the move, they handled her treasured items carefully and with respect. Nothing was damaged in the process, and we truly appreciate their efforts to make sure she was happy with the placement of the furniture in her new place. It’s stressful seeing your worldly possessions packed on a truck but the move couldn’t have gone smoother.Their customer service team (Lauren, Jeanine, and Chris) were incredibly responsive, answering all my questions. I was able to complete a virtual walkthrough with Lauren and get an estimate online. They provided a clear breakdown of the pricing structure and I secured a move date that would work with my schedule. Communication with the office team was transparent and consistent during each step in the process.On the day of the move, the crew, headed by Juan, arrived on time and ready to work. They were courteous and took great care with my belongings. What stood out to me was how they handled my furniture—everything was carefully wrapped in protective padding, and they disassembled larger pieces when necessary to ensure they wouldn’t get damaged during transit. They asked questions to clarify what was moving vs. being hauled away as I also had them remove some items I couldn’t donate. They worked non-stop till the task was done.When my belongings arrived at my new home, I was pleased to see that everything was in the same condition as when it left. There were no surprises, and I was impressed by the speed with which the unloading process took place. The movers took the time to place items exactly where I wanted them and helped reassemble furniture.Moving interstate can feel like a huge undertaking, but this experience was made so much easier thanks to the professionalism and efficiency of everyone at Slattery Moving & Storage. We used Slattery Moving for a move between NY and Hilton Head. We did not move any furniture but had a number of boxes, large odds and end stuff ladder,bike, large baskets etc.). We packed the boxes and their team put all on semi truck which we shared with other clients. This business model kept the cost WAY down. The delivery here was seamless. The driver navigated narrow roads and hauled the boxes into the house without issue. We considered using a “Pod” but encountered bait and switch quotes & we could never get the same person on the phone.Slatterys is a local company with a stellar reputation for a reason. We strongly recommend them for their professionalism, cost and reliability.

I am not a cool and collected customer and I let Slattery know right off the bat that I would be high maintenance. Okay, I'm not that extreme but I was making a big move and Slattery came highly recommended by someone I trust so I felt confident but with all the horror stories you read online about unscrupulous movers, I was already terrified that I would be taken advantage of and lose my belongings. All nightmare scenarios aside, Slattery was super professional from start to finish. Lauren and Jeanine were especially helpful in the lead-up to moving day but then came a large group of men to my home on the day and time appointed. I could not believe what a well greased machine the crew was. I slept soundly for two days before delivery to my new house and they showed up again at the time and on the day. The unpacking of the truck was where I could see the method to their madness as my belongings unfolded and revealed themselves through layers of unpacking of the truck. From start to finish, the guys were great and all my stuff that went on the truck came off the truck, none too worse for the journey. They take pride in their work, at the office and at my house so yeah, I give them five stars.

I really appreciated how this was handled.***The company sounds like it’s great but unfortunately whoever was driving from Georgia to Florida on April 4 around 10 AM was an idiot .They were trying to use their size to push other cars out of their way— Popping in and out of the slow and middle lane like they were an oversized rabbit.This was incredibly dangerous and incredibly stupid.
